I’ll Tell You About How My Workplace Turned Out to Be a Monster’s Nest
Synopsis
At the age of 29, I became a young man who had given up on working.
The reason? A traffic accident.
After the accident left major scars not only on my face and body but also on my career, I spent some time wondering how I was supposed to live from then on.
That was when I realized that if I worked as a cleaner, my appearance, age, and career history wouldn’t matter very much.
So I started submitting applications everywhere I could find a job posting that seemed like something I could hold onto for the long term.
After some time, I received a job offer from the Hwain Group, a company that had been making huge waves both domestically and internationally.
“Wait, seriously? The Hwain Group?”
A job offer from one of South Korea’s leading conglomerates.
Even though the position was for a cleaning staff member, it was still a permanent position—and I would be working at a research institute.
I immediately accepted the offer and was scheduled to start work the following week.
After calming down from my excitement, I wondered if there were any special company rules unique to the Hwain Group or any precautions I should know about regarding the job, so I searched through online communities.
And then I found a particular post.
